A Father Drowns In A Ft. Worth Lake Trying To Save 6 Year Old Son

A 28 year old father drowned Saturday while trying to save his 6 year old son in a Ft.Worth lake.
The incident happened on the 6200 block of Hatchery Dr just south of the Lake Worth Spillway when emergency crews received a call about a child in the water.
When they arrived to the scene they learned that the father Saul Ortiz,28 jumped in the water to try and save his son and was able to save the child but he drowned in the process.
