Dallas police are investigating a police involved shooting that happened early Saturday morning.

Around 2 a.m. Dallas officer Keenan Blair was working off duty working at the 216 Lounge located on the 200 block of Llewellyn Avenue.

He noticed 31 year old Cesar Hernandez having some sort of altercation with 30 year old Luke Guerra and 18 year old Edward Hernandez, in a dark colored suv, across the street in the Fiesta parking lot.

As the suspects left the parking lot they opened fire striking Hernandez in the stomach. Officer Blair then pulled out his department issued weapon and fired three shots.

Hernandez was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery. His condition is unknown at this time.

The suspects, 30 year old Luke Guerra and 18 year old Edward Hernandez, were both taken to an area hospital in private vehicles. They both had injuries consistent with bullet fragments, grazing and glass shards.

They were both treated for their injuries and released from the hospital.

Guerra and Hernandez were charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

During the investigation it was determined that the suspects fired more than 20 round as they were leaving the parking lot. Officers also noticed a dark colored sedan leaving the parking lot at the same time and said they fired at least five rounds in the air while leaving in the opposite direction.

That’s when a security guard working at the location discharged his weapon firing shots in the area to disperse the crowd.

After reviewing surveillance footage it showed the security guard firing shots in the air and not striking anyone.

No suspects have been arrested at this time. This investigation remains ongoing.
