Altercation Inside of North Dallas Dave & Busters Leaves 1 Dead

An off-duty Dallas police officer called 911 to report shots fired at the Dave & Busters in North Dallas on Wednesday night, around 11:30 p.m.

The off-duty officer, who was working security at the location, also informed dispatch of one person down and requested EMS.

Dallas Police Officers and Dallas Fire and Rescue responded to 9450 N. Central Expressway

Paramedics located the victim, a 29-year-old man, lying on the floor inside of the building. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers began their investigation into the incident and learned that the victim and suspect got into a heated disagreement. A physical altercation broke out between them before the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim.

The suspect, believed to be in his late twenties, and two other individuals who were with him at the time, fled the scene. The victim’s family members and friends were with him at the time of the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing as detectives gather information from witnesses and video surveillance footage.
