A post that shows an animal hospital giving dogs chocolate before they pass away has gone viral.
The motive for the gesture is to allow the animals to have some type of comfort before their last moments. This has also given pet owners, in Alabama, a little piece of mind.
Smith Stations Animal Hospital displayed a picture of a jar of Hershey’s Kisses. It read, “Goodbye Kisses” on the outside.
“This jar is reserved for our euthanasia appointments…because no dog should go to Heaven without tasting chocolate,” the caption stated.
The post has now been shared more than 113,000 times.
“We have always done something special…go get a cheeseburger, get something out of our lunchboxes.”
It has been said that the owners are usually surprised by this notion. They are also comforted in knowing that their pets are going up above with a full stomach!
