Arizona police have arrested three people in connection with the death of a 6 year old boy who was kept inside a closet for a month with his brother.
According to reports officers responded to a call of an unresponsive child near Cedar Avenue and Monte Vista Dr and when they arrived they found a 6 year old unresponsive inside the home.
Emergency crews tried to revive the child but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The parents Jose Archibeque-Martinez,23 Elizabeth Archibeque-Martinez and the grandmother Ann Martinez,50 all admitted to keeping the 6 year old and his 7 year old brother locked in the closet for almost 16 hours a day with little to no food because they would steal food and sneak out the house at night while the parents slept.
The 7 year old was transported to Flagstaff Medical Center and two other children ages 2 and 4 were placed with the Department of Child Safety.
The parents and grandmother were all arrested and charged with one count of murder and two counts of child abuse.
They are being held at the Coconimo County Jail.
