Authorities Find Winning Lottery Ticket In Drowning Victims Pocket

A dead Michigan man that drowned was found with a winning lottery ticket in his pocket Friday.
Gregory Jarvis,57 was at the Blue Water Inn on September 13 playing Club Keno add-on game: The Jack. When he hit and won.

According to reports Jarvis tried to cash in his ticket but was unsuccessful because his social security card was beat up.
He was waiting on his new card to come in so that he could cash in on his $45,000 winning ticket.

On September 19 the owner of the Blue Water Inn, Dawn Talaski said Jarvis was back in the bar buying rounds of drinks but still hadn’t cashed in on his ticket.

When he walked out the bar that night that was the last time anyone saw him alive.
A person contacted police Friday and said they saw a body washed up along a private beach near a boat.

Officers responded and believed Jarvis possibly fell and hit his dead causing him to fall in and drown.
An autopsy was performed and was consistent with him hitting his head and drowning.
Jarvis had made plans to go to North Carolina to see his sister and dad.

The winning lottery ticket has been given to family.
