After getting hundreds of tips, state authorities in Indiana are continuing to work to name the young boy discovered in a suitcase in Indiana.

On the night of April 16, a suitcase, covered with a Las Vegas design, was found by a man who was searching for mushrooms. This was in a wooded location in Washington County.

Police describe the young boy as Black, 4 foot tall, slim with short hair. They believe that he was close to 5 years old when he passed away. Authorities also think that he had been dead for about a week prior to the suitcase being discovered.

Many tips indicate that the young boy could be Codi Bigsby. This is a 4-year-old who is missing from Hampton, Virginia. However, officials say that this isn’t that child.

There has been no match to any young male that is currently on the missing child list. Police also don’t have any indication that the child had been reported missing before he was discovered.

“For some reason, nobody’s noticing that he’s missing. It could be someone not from this country. Very possible. We’re not precluding anything like that in the investigation,” stated an Indiana state police spokesperson.

Officials are awaiting toxicology results, and an autopsy has already been conducted. No further information was released.

An investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is urged to call (812) 248-4374 or (800) 872-6743.
