Bag Of Drugs Dropped In Schoolyard By Drone

A package full of contraband was dropped into a Virginia schoolyard Monday by a drone.
Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office said the drop was made around 8:40am to Brunswick Academy by the drone.
Officers believe the drop was intended for the Lawrenceville Correctional Center, which is across the street from the school.
An employee contacted police when they saw the drone land and said they saw a person in a dark colored vehicle pick the package up.
Authorities said the package contained marijuana, tobacco and three cell phones.

Sheriff B.K. Roberts said other drone sightings were reported at the prison earlier this year.
