Former President Barack Obama has become a strategic partner and minority owner in the NBA’s African League- Basketball Africa.

This league has received investments from basketball greats such as Dikembe Mutombo, Junior Bridgeman, and Grant Hill.

The investment made by President Obama will go towards youth and leadership programs.

The ins and outs of the investment are unknown.

“By investing in communities, promoting gender equality, and cultivating the love of the game of basketball…I believe NBA Africa can make a difference for so many of Africa’s young people,” the former president stated.
