Baytown Police Find Deceased Infant At Scottish Inn

Baytown PD are investigating after an infant body was found deceased inside a Scottish Inn Tuesday.
Officers responded to a call on the 6800 block of Garth Rd stating an infant was deceased.
Upon arrival officers located a woman standing in an open doorway holding a gun.
The woman refused to come out the hotel and authorities contacted SWAT.
They were able to take the woman into custody around 1:25pm without incident.
Officers entered the room and located an infant unresponsive and said it did not appear to be shot.
The cause of death is unknown at this time.
The woman’s identity has not been released.
This investigation is ongoing.
