An excessive force lawsuit filed by a Texas woman has been dropped by a federal judge.
The woman had been bitten by a police dog for over a minute in Conroe, Texas.
Body cam footage depicts the dog, Thor, biting Olivia Sligh, who wasn’t armed. Thor didn’t seem to have followed the commands of his handler.
Sligh says officers should have dealt with the matter as they deal with mental ill individuals. She added that she now has more than 12 bruises.
The judge ruled that the use of force “can’t be said to be unreasonable” because the woman assaulted an officer who was attempting to apprehend her.
