Nickolle Christina Aguilar, 25, and Daniel Garcia, 26, have been apprehended. On Wednesday, the corpse of a 5 year-old Texas boy was discovered in Fraser, Colorado.
They are both facing a felony charge of injury to a child causing serious bodily injury-death.
An arrest warrant noted that Domenic Patrick Aguilar-Acevedo passed away in San Antonio at a hotel room on July 25.
Aguilar and Garcia, told authorities that they placed the boy’s body in an isolated location close to Rocky Mountain National Park after journeying to Colorado. They then traveled to Mexico and Costa Rica.
Aguilar eventually revealed that Garcia had previously abused the boy. In the hotel room, he had hit the boy so hard that he was thrown against a wall and fell on the floor.
She said she tell anybody because she was happy to be with a man and didn’t want to lose custody.
