Boost Mobile is offering customers a way to lessen their bill: play a game or watch advertisements.
“BoostCoins” is the new program that the phone company has introduced. It is a “blockchain-backed” type of payment that can be earned by viewing ads or playing games.
The BoostCoins are available by downloading the carrier’s BoostOne app and utilizing the ads and games. It is noted that one BoostCoins is worth one cent.
If a person watches several seconds of an ad, they will receive two BoostCoins. If they play a game, a person could earn five cents to $5.
In the future, the company will permit customers to have the choice to share BoostCoins with each other or turn them in for a free phone.
“This represents an exciting new business model and a stepping stone into the future for wireless consumers,” stated Stephen Stokols, the CEO of Boost Mobile.
