1kviews

Police in Fairfield, California, are figuring out details about what happened when a homeowner shot and killed an alleged intruder.

On Tuesday morning, a man knocked on a door, kicked it open, and entered the residence when no one responded.

The homeowner was observing the suspect through his surveillance camera. He shot him twice with a .357 magnum.

The suspect ran from the house and collapsed in the road.

The man, 27, was found laying in the street with a loaded semi-automatic handgun with an extended magazine beside him. He was pronounced dead a little while later. He was already on parole for another home invasion, authorities say.

The homeowner and his wife, a couple in their 60’s, were eating breakfast in the home at the time. Police said the homeowner “feared for their life” which is why he shot the weapon.
