An investigation is underway after a carjacker was shot by a bystander during an attempted carjacking Friday evening.
Around 6:30 p.m. officers responded to a shooting call on the 5500 block of W. Lovers Lane near Trader Joe’s, in Dallas. Upon arrival they found the suspect suffering from a gunshot wound.
The suspect was transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries. It was said that two others were seen fleeing the scene before officers could arrive.
This investigation remains ongoing.
