A 9 year-old girl from Minnesota spoke boldy at a school board meeting. She is upset about a Black Lives Matter poster that is displayed at her school.

“I don’t care or look at color of skin, but you make me think of it,” she said.

June 8th, Novalee, as she calls herself, told the Lakeville School board about a double standard she observed. She says as she walked down the hallway of her school, she saw a BLM poster. She also observed  a poster that pictured Amanda Gorman, Nobel laureate poet.

” I was told two weeks ago at this very meeting spot: No politics in school,” she noted. She then approached the principal and demanded that they be removed. The principal declined, informing the girl that the school board put them on display.

“You all have lied to me. I’m very disappointed in all of you,” she declared.
