Cuban Migrants Come Ashore in Hallandale, Florida, Ask for Directions to Miami Beach

1kviews

A boat washed ashore in Hallandale Beach, Florida on Tuesday. Witnesses state Cuban migrants were onboard.

“They were like kissing the ground and celebrating… They high-fived us. We gave them some water,” said Dylan Holland, whose job is located on the beach.

Observers said that there were four or five men who walked onto the beach joyful and laughing.

“Where are we?” They asked a hotel worker. After being told where they were, they wanted information on where Miami beach was and how long it would take to get there. After learning it was an hour away, they took some water and left.

Vendors on the beach stated that the men said they had traveled for six days on the boat. It was powered by a small diesel engine.

It took 20 to 30 minutes for border patrol to come on scene. The boat was towed from shore.
