Dallas ISD Implements New Policy To End In and Out Of School Suspension For Middle And High School Students

1.7kviews

Dallas ISD has made the decision to do away with in and out of school suspension.
The district will instead send the children to reset centers.
This program was implemented to address the history and disproportionate number of minority students who were being disciplined by suspensions.
Students that have attended the reset centers says they are helping them navigate with challenges on and off campus.
Along with trained coordinators the center will have mental health clinicians, and social emotional staff to help facilitate the programs on each campus.
