An investigation is underway after a Dallas ISD student was allegedly sexually attacked while walking to school.
According to reports, the incident took place approximately 5 blocks away from K. B. Polk Center for Academically Talented & Gifted near Love Field.
The school sits in a residential neighborhood near Lovefield Airport and Dallas ISD police say they are working to increasing its police presence in the area after the alleged attack.
The school sent home a letter last week to parents stating, “one of our students was approached by an unknown individual about five blocks away from campus and was attacked while walking to school.”
The letter goes on to describe the attacker as a “muscular white older male with brown hair, approximately 6-foot tall and wearing a blue flannel jacket at the time.”
Dallas police described the incident as an isolated incident and says they don’t believe anyone else is in danger.
However, authorities have not said why they believe the incident is isolated. They also have not released information about the student or where exactly the incident happened.
It is unclear if they have a suspect or person of interest. This is an active investigation.
