Dallas Man Found Shot In A South Dallas Parking Lot

A man was arrested and charged with murder in connection to a shooting in Dallas Thursday morning.
Officers responded to a shooting call at 4313 S. Malcolm X Blvd and when they arrived they found Kevin Benard Edwards,37 lying on the ground of the parking lot being treated by Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel.
The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased from his injuries.
During the investigation, suspect, Michael Dewayne Williams,35 was taken into custody by the officers at the scene.
He was transported to the Homicide Unit for interviewing where Williams refused to give a voluntary statement, and officers transported him to the Dallas County Jail and he was charged with murder.
