Dallas Police Look For Assailants After Victim Dies Over A Year Later

In 2019, a certain shooting transpired. It has now been changed to a murder case, the Dallas Police Department stated Tuesday.

Deandrea Haynie was shot in the hip on Westmoreland Rd. outside of his residence. He did not know the three suspects.

Haynie was treated at a medical facility and let go. However, on January 12, 2021, he passed away in his home.

After an investigation, the medical examiner noted that Haynie died from problems related to the gunshot he endured. His death has been ruled a homicide.

Now, Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward that will result in an arrest for this crime.
