Dallas police are investigating a shooting that left 20 year old Steven Mendoza dead and another man injured.
Shortly before midnight, on May 8, officers responded to a shooting call on the 700 block of West Clarendon Drive.
Upon arrival they noticed a black suv fleeing from the location and later spotted the suv parked in the emergency entrance of an area hospital.
While investigating officers learned that Mendoza and a 21 year old male had been shot on the 800 block of South Tyler Street and drove to a hospital.
Mendoza later died at the hospital and the other male was treated for non life threatening injuries.
