Desoto High School Graduate Shot And Killed In A Downtown Dallas Parking Lot

A high school graduate was shot and killed in downtown Dallas early Tuesday morning while sitting in a vehicle with another person.
According to reports officers responded to a shooting call early Tuesday morning near Akard and Federal St and when they arrived they found Leroy Hawkins,17 suffering from a gunshot wound.
Hawkins was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Officers say Hawkins was sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle when the suspect walked up to the car and opened fire through the window.
Detectives are investigating to see what led up to the shooting and have no suspects in custody.
