A man is dead after being shot and killed by his father during an altercation in Desoto Friday night.
Officers responded to a disturbance/ shooting call on the 200 block of Rob Ln and when they arrived they encountered the shooter William Daniel Moore,58 who told them his son Elijah Moore,38 was inside the residence dead.
According to the father him and his son got into a physical altercation when he shot his son multiple times.
The victims son ran to the neighbors house and asked for help.
When emergency crews arrived to the residence they pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The victims father was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
The grandson was taken to child protective services.
This investigation is ongoing.
