Dallas police are investigating a shooting that left a teen dead near Lake Highlands high school Tuesday evening.

Officers responded to a shooting call around 5:40 p.m. on the 7300 block of Skillman Street. Upon arrival they found a male teen suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.
