Employee Of Walmart Shot During Carjacking Attempt On New Year’s Eve In Waxahachie


A worker at a Walmart in Waxahachie was shot during an attempted carjacking on Saturday night, police say.

At around 10 p.m., authorities arrived to the scene and discovered the 18-year-old victim with several gunshot injuries.

Police say that the employee had just gotten off work and was walking to his vehicle when the apparent attempted carjacking happened. They believe that two suspects had participated in the crime as they wore masks and were both armed with guns. They are said to have left the location on foot.

Authorities say that the victim is expected to survive and is recovering.
