Ex-Ohio State wide receiver Dimitrious Stanley, 48, died Thursday.
Stanley was the leading receiver of the 1996 Buckeyes. He died after a four-year fight with prostate cancer.
Stanley was a starter in all the 1996 season games where the Buckeyes defeated Arizona State in the Rose Bowl.
In his freshman year, in 1993, and his senior year in 1996, he was a part of both Big Ten champion teams.
After college, Stanley played for the New York Red Dogs in the Arena Football League. Additionally, he played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Canadian Football League.
In 2015, Stanley also ran for Columbus City council.
He leaves behind his wife and daughter.
