Facebook Is Sharing Your Information

702views

Many people who have a Facebook account aren’t aware that its default privacy settings permit the company to keep much of their personal data. This includes every recoding that they have seen, past searches, where they are when logged in on a mobile device, what they look like, and more.

There are 2.9 billion users who are actively on the site. Personal data is an enormous part of the business behind the huge social network. The company gathers people’s data and puts it together into nameless profiles. They then give it to advertisers who are looking for certain people. However, Facebook has said that they don’t sell any information.

A person’s employer, job title, education history, and interests allow the company to share with advertisers through the default settings.

If you have an account, you can remove some interest categories from your profile, but there is no way to get out of the process altogether.
