Family Of An Illinois Woman Who Died After Drinking Hand Sanitizer Is Suing The Company That Made it

Family members of an Illinois woman who passed away last years after drinking hand sanitizer which was contaminated with methanol has filed a lawsuit against the company who manufactured the product.
The lawsuit was officially filed Friday in St. Louis. According to court documents, the St. Louis County Medical Examiner determined in the autopsy, the woman died from acute methanol intoxication. The bottle of Blumen Advanced Instate Sanitizer was tested in relation to the autopsy and discovered the bottle contained dangerous levels of methanol.
Kayla Stagner succumbed to her injuries last May at a St. Louis hospital.
The company responsible for making the sanitizer did not respond to any questions in regard to the lawsuit.
