Sha-Galia Felder and son, Alexander, are demanding an explanation after Dallas police assumed that they were intruders while in their residence. They were both detailed.

On Saturday, October 16, a neighbor contacted authorities, believing that a burglary was transpiring. Police arrived at the scene on Menefee Drive at around 9:45pm.

The mother and son were partaking in dinner when they noticed a flashlight shining through the front door.

Alexander stated he heard banging. He approached the door and saw two officers with their guns drawn.

As a neighbor saw what was going on, they said, “Oh no, no, they live here. They live here.”

The neighbor allegedly told Alexander the next day that they believed a burglary was in progress because their door was still open after they came back from dinner.

“Miscommunication could have led to someone being hurt or killed. I appreciate them responding..but I don’t appreciate how they assessed the situation…,” Alexander stated.

  1. This is a sad story and Im glad things didn’t escalste. I want to offer my services as a proofreader/grammar checker. Since this app has gone live, I have read several stories with grammatical and spelling errors. These errors can, unfortunately, take away from what the story is actually about to the reader.
