Detectives are investigating the deaths of a man and his adult daughter who were found on Wednesday in an apartment.
The woman’s 2-year-old son, CJ, was also located in the apartment, but he wasn’t hurt. He was transported to a medical facility.
Police answered to a call on the 8100 block of South Drexel Avenue, in Chicago, in regards to a well-being check. That’s when the 79-year-old man, Curtis Hardman, and a 27-year-old woman, Javonni Jenkins, were found deceased.
Authorities haven’t stated how the two people died nor released any information about any possible suspects. However, they do believe that this was an isolated incident.
“We got witnesses that we are interviewing, and the detectives are still investigating the situation,” officials noted.
Relatives reported that Hardman was a great father and grandfather who raised Jenkins after her mother died when she was 4 years old.
