Odalis Santos Mena, 23, was a popular Mexican fitfluencer and body builder. On July 7, she died unexpectedly after a procedure to correct her excessive perspiration.

SkinPiel clinic, in Guadalajara, is said to have recruited Mena. Additionally, they wanted to advertise a new antiperspirant remedy called MiraDry.

The procedure allegedly fought excessive underarm sweat by utilizing heat energy to take away sweat glands. This would also reduce body odor and armpit hair.

But, Mena went into cardiac arrest after being anesthetized. The workers at the clinic could not revive her after giving cpr, and she died a little while later.

Mena had promoted the MiraDry on her social media with promises that the treatment was safe and works.

Police have looked into the matter and have already noted that the person who gave the anesthesia was not a licensed anesthesiologists.

The coroner stated the death was caused by a mixture of anesthesia and steroids.
