Dr. Kory Lee Gill, 44, a doctor and ex-physician for Texas A & M athletics was apprehended for sexual assault of two females.
He has been released on a $60,000 bond after he was taken into custody on Wednesday, authorities say.
Gill was employed as a Primary Care and Sports Medicine Fellowship Program Director. This was at the Texas A & M Health Science Center. He was terminated in February after the allegations from two patients.
Documents note that authorities started an investigation earlier this year. They were informed about the second occurrence of assault shortly after that.
One victim stated that in April 2021, she sought medical treatment after injuring her back. She said that she saw Gill 3 to 5 times. This was before he put his “fingers in her vagina for 15-20 seconds” while being treated.
The victim added that on each visit, Gill always had whiskey as he provided medical treatments. He had always asked her if she wanted a drink, but she declined.
The second victim stated that after several sessions for her hip pain, in November 2021, Gill gave her a drink. He then “penetrated her vagina with his tongue, finger, and penis.” She told authorities that the drink had her in a foggy state, and she didn’t recall how she got home.
She told police that Gill had apologized to her, stating that they had drunk too much while in his office for medical services. He added that he was “irresponsible and unprofessional.”
Both survivors were skeptical about disclosing the abuse because Gill was “well-known” and a “well-loved member of the community,” police say.
The victims weren’t student-athletes at Texas A & M.
He deserves life in prison.
