Former Texas Rangers baseball pitcher John Wetteland was indicted by a grand jury this week on three counts of continuous sexual assault of a child and is set to appear in court this month.
Wetteland was arrested back in January 2019 for molesting a young child inside his Bartonville home between 2004 and 2006. It was said that Child Protective Services were called to his home on January 9. The child was only 4 years old when the alleged assaults began and it was apparently someone he knew.
His trial is set to start August 29 in the 462nd District Court in Denton.
Wetteland pitched for the Rangers from 1997 to 2000. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005.
