Forty Individuals Charged With Drug And Gun Offenses In Texas

Forty people in Texas were charged with drug and gun offenses on September 8.

Fifteen of those individuals were apprehended in what authorities call ” Operation Taste The Rainbow.”

All of the people involved, men and women, are suspected of methamphetamine trafficking in and around the Lubbock area.

The charges of the federal crimes include distribution of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of firearms, and conspiracy.

All together, the forty individuals had been charged before with 32 assaults, 9 burglaries, 3 robberies, and a murder. Also, 24 federal firearm charges, 69 controlled substance offenses, three terroristic threats, a forgery, 12 frauds, and a sexual assault charge were included.

The FBI’S Dallas Field Division ,Texas Department of Public Safety and federal, state, and local authorities all teamed up to carry out the operation and arrested 15 people.

Furthermore, federal agents issued federal warrants to 20 of the people who were already incarcerated.

The other five people are still being sought.
