Police in Florida say Eric Pierson confessed to stabbing a single mother, Erika Verdecia, with a screwdriver on Sept. 25. She had been missing for 3 weeks before her body was found in a Fort Lauderdale canal.
Last year Pierson was released from prison after serving 27 years for beating and strangling a 17 year-old girl. Before this, he served 4 years for breaking into a woman’s home and slitting her throat.
