George Floyd’s daughter, her mother, and their team of lawyers are preparing to sue Kanye West over his recent comments. The lawsuit is said to be seeking a quarter of a billion dollars.

On Tuesday, the mother of Floyd’s daughter, Roxie Washington, announced that she had formed a team of lawyers to file a lawsuit against West, his business partners, and his associates. They claim that this is due to harassment, misappropriation, defamation, infliction, and emotional distress.

The lawsuit is asking for $250 million in damages.

The family adds that they have sent a cease and desist letter to Kanye because of his statements about Floyd’s fatal occurrence with police officers in Minneapolis.

The letter entails that “Mr Floyd’s cause of death is well-settled through evidence presented in courts of law during the criminal and civil trials. This was the result of his untimely and horrific death. Nevertheless, you have maliciously made statements that are inaccurate and unfounded, causing damage to Mr. Floyd’s estate and his family.”

On an episode of “Drink Champs,” West stated that Floyd died from an fentanyl overdose and medical conditions that he already had. He said that Derek Chauvin’s knee wasn’t on his neck.

In the letter, the family’s attorney demanded that Kanye take down the interview and other similar comments of George online and to stop speaking about him.
