Google Maps May Be Aware Of Your Every Movement

1.1kviews

Google maps may be tracing your every movement without you knowing.

The connection, known as Google Location History, is an account-wide system that tracks your whereabouts on a smartphone.

For it to perform efficiently, a user needs to be signed into a Google Account with Location History and Location Reporting on.

Google says that the benefit is receiving better service if they know where you have traveled.

However, many critics feel that privacy concerns arise when there is data tracking your locations that can been seen online.

This is mostly why Google Location History is not on initially. It can only be activated if a user changes the default setting.

The issue is that many people may not activate it on purpose, and users may not know exactly what the function entails.

If you’re using the Google Maps app, you can check your Google Location History. Select the menu option, and go to your timeline to see if yours is active.
