Grand Prairie Homeowner Fatally Shoots Neighbor That Forces His Way Into His Home

A man was fatally shot when he forced his way into his neighbors home Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 1:30pm on the 2800 block of North Texas 360.

Authorities say Elon Thomas,43 forced his way into his neighbors home and the homeowner retrieved a handgun and shot him.

When police arrived to the scene they found Thomas suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

The homeowner is cooperating with police and no arrest have been made. Authorities are investigating the incident to see why Thomas forced his way into his neighbors home.
