Greg Knapp, Jet’s Coach, Passes Away

Greg Knapp, New York Jets assistant coach, passed away Thursday from injuries he endured from a bicycle accident.

Knapp had been in critical condition since the beginning of this week after his bike was hit by a vehicle.

In 2021, he was employeed by the Jets as a passing game specialist. He is said to have had a great influence on the accomplishments of rookie, Zach Wilson.

Knapp had a 25 year coaching career. This includes working with the Falcons and Broncos.

“Greg was rendered unconscious immediately. He never regained consciousness. He was surrounded by his mom, wife, 3 daughters, and brother,” the Knapp family confirmed.
