Doug and Dedra Simmons, newlyweds, have gone viral after a receipt charging guests for not showing up to their wedding was posted online.

The couple was disappointed that individuals would rsvp to their celebration and not be there. Thefore, they charged them $240.

The billed receipt read, “… You didn’t call or give us proper notice that you wouldn’t be in attendance. This amount is what you owe for us paying for your seat(s) in advance. You can pay via Zelle or Paypal..”

Simmons said he is not really a petty person. He said the couple worked hard for their ideal wedding and were disappointed that some people didn’t keep their word.

He stated that they confirmed with people four times before paying ahead of time for their wedding in Jamaica.

The couple hasn’t said what would happen if payments weren’t made by their deadline.
