Gun and Ammo Found Inside A Second Graders Desk

A second-grader in California brought a gun and a loaded magazine to school on Tuesday.

Students at Edward Kemble Elementary in Sacramento alerted their teacher that a classmate had brought a weapon to school.

School officials called police and authorities arrived and secured the weapon. The gun and loaded magazine were found in the second-grade student’s desk.

The Sacramento school district emphasized the importance of the district’s mantra to students, “see something, say something” and applauded the students that spoke up.

Sacramento police have not released further information at this time.
