A North Carolina Honda dealership posted a derogatory term on its Facebook page and has now apologized.
They congratulated Trinity Bethune on buying her first car. However, they wrote her name as, “Bon Quisha.” The picture, that posted on Thursday, showed her standing next to her new Camry. Thus, Bethune was outraged.
The post has since been taken down. In a statement, the dealership wrote, “Lumberton Honda has been a part of the community for 18 years. We’ve served thousands of customers of all ethnicities. This incident reminds us that there is always room for improvement. Again, please accept our sincere apology. We are truly sorry.”
