Husband Shot After Wife Orders Boyfriend To “Kill Him”

Officers in Memphis, Tennessee, responded to a shooting call in November on Bellevue Boulevard.

Now, they have arrested a suspect.

The victim disclosed to authorities that he was walking home when he witnessed his wife coming from the home with another male. He stated that all three of them then got into a vehicle to discuss the relationship between the suspect and the victim’s wife.

The victim stated that he was in the backseat when Martavious Taylor, 38, fired a gunshot at his head. Taylor then took the victim home in the wife’s vehicle and made him get out of the car.

Authorities say that Taylor shot the man in the leg and starting striking him with the gun in his face. He then forced his foot on the victim’s neck, saying,” I’m Martavious. Mac. Scooter.”

Documents reveal that the victim begged not be killed, but the victim heard his wife say, “Kill him. He is going to retaliate.” Taylor is then accused of grabbing the victim’s phone, and the wife took $100 from his pocket while he was lying on the street.

Taylor then put the victim back in the car, driving him around, then shooting him in the hand. The victim said he was also shot at two times before running away.

The victim experienced 18 face fractures, broken teeth, and a fracture bone on his left hand.

Taylor faces charges of employment of firearm with the intent to commit a felony, possession of a firearm by a felon, attempted second-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, and aggravated robbery.
