In A $900 Million Deal,”South Park” Will Air Through 2027

Trey Parker and Matt Stone, co-creators of “South Park,” have signed an enormous deal with ViacomCBS. It will keep the show running through 2027, adding 14 movies that will be streamed through Paramount +.

This means that the show will have almost 30 seasons on Comedy Central. Two movies will be featured on the platform each year. Bloomberg has reported that this deal is worth $900 million.

“Franchising marquee content like South Park and developing new IP with tremendous talent like Matt and Trey, is at the heart of our strategy to continue growing Paramount +.”

In 2019, HBO Max signed exclusive streaming rights to “South Park” at $500 million. But, ViacomCBS has rights in that agreement.
