Irving PD Arrest A Former Irving ISD Teacher For Sexually Assaulting A 2nd Grade Student

Irving police arrested a former Irving ISD teacher for sexually assaulting one of his, then second grade students.

It was said that 28 year old Victor Hugo Moreno was working for Irving ISD at Townsell Elementary during the 2020-2021 school year. At that time he had an improper relationship with a 7 year old girl.

It was not until the spring semester of 2021-2022 that Irving PD were notified about the heinous act.

Moreno put in his resignation at the end of the 2021 school year after failing to meet his certification requirements. He then went to Plano ISD and taught there for the 2021-2022 school year before being terminated for a code of conduct violation.

On July 21, Irving PD arrested Moreno and charged him with continuous sex abuse of a child and improper relationship between educator and student. His bond was set at $15,000.
