That Washington football team announced Tuesday that they have hired the first ever, in NFL history black full time assistant running back coach.
Jennifer King has earned her title as assistant running back coach after a year long internship worth the team.
King previously interned with the Carolina Panthers during the 2018-2019 off season and also worked as an assistant wide receiver coach and special teams assistant for the Arizona Hotshots of the Alliance of American Football.
Washington’s head coach Ron Rivera said, “ Coach King is well deserving of the promotion to assistant running backs coach. She came to Washington eager for the opportunity to work as a full year coaching intern and learn from our staff.”
