Judge Seals Andrew Lester’s Records In The Shooting of 17 Year Old Ralph Yarl

1.2kviews

84-year-old Andrew Lester is the white man who shot a Black teen, 17-year-old Ralph Yarl, through a door when he unintentionally rang his doorbell in Kansas City.

Now, the case against Lester has been sealed from the public.

Lester’s lawyers have said that their client has had to relocate three times due to vandalism and threats. They also claim that he has been called a racist and a murderer. The attorney added that because the case was widely-known, Lester wouldn’t have a fair trial.

On April 19, Lester first appeared in court. He then pled not guilty to two felony charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action.

The court later decided to seal the case, citing harassing messages sent to Lester, widespread coverage of the case, and the fact that Lester and his wife were forced to move from their nursing home. This showed that his life was in jeopardy.

However, the prosecutor in the matter disagreed with the sealing of the case. He stated that justice should be served and also revealed.

Yarl’s relatives have disclosed that he is recovering physically and emotionally.

  1. Why not call it what it is? He is a racist, yea he’s old but what gives you the right to shoot somebody through a door for just ringing the doorbell. He also old but he knew what he was doing he’s not crazy he’s in his right mind he seen a young black man and he acted on it. Why should he be spared for what he did? This is a old racist white man he’s evil been evil for years like his ex- wife and family say. He should get the media coverage like the next person if he would have thought before he shoot that child he wouldn’t have been in this situation stop saying it’s because he’s old because if it was a black man and 84 he wouldn’t be so privileged he would be in jail without bond. He deserves everything there dishing out to him. Point blank period lock his old racist a** up and let him spend the rest of his time on earth behind the prison bars!!

  2. Why protect him when he’s the one that committed the crime. SMH praying that real justice will be served.
