Kelly Clarkson Divorced Husband, Says “Using Her For Money”

Nearly 7 years after Kelly Clarkson divorced her husband, Brandon Blackstock, fans are still wondering why.
Recently a source sat down with US Weekly saying the split was a “long-time” coming. The source also mentioned that the split had a lot to do with Blackstock’s jealousy over her income from her success.
“The relationship had been on rocks for a long time,” according to the source. “She was the high-income earner with a wildly successful talk show, and is another star on the hit show, The Voice. Brandon was extremely jealous of it and made her know it.”
Clarkson and Blackstock, who share 2 children together, separated in June of 2020 after 7 years of marriage.
A judge ruled in July for Clarkson to pay nearly $200,000 in spousal and child support monthly.
The breakdown of the support is $150,000 in spousal support and $45,601 per month in child support.
The source added that Clarkson is confident as she waits for her divorce to be finalized.
“She can finally enjoy her success without feeling ashamed. Kelly doesn’t take credit for her success but shares it with her team. That’s just who she is,” the source said.
According to court documents, Clarkson earns roughly $1.9million per month from her job at The Kelly Clarkson Show along with being a judge on The Voice.
