Ladarius Keys Sentenced To Life In Prison For 2017 Plano Murder

2.3kviews

A 2017 cold-case murder in Plano results in a life sentence being handed down on Tuesday.

Plano Police responded to reports of gunshots being heard in a neighborhood in November 2017. When officers arrived to a home, they found Christopher Collinvitti lying dead in the entrance of his garage.

Collinvitti was returning home from work when he was shot twice in the head during a robbery.

Two years into an investigation, authorities had no leads towards identifying any suspects in the murder. Then, in December 2019, shell casings from the scene were matched to other crime scenes in Dallas that took place within days of the murder.

With the new information gathered, detectives were able to utilize social media, cell phone records, and witness interviews, to identify a suspect.

Ladarius Keys, 29, and two other suspects were arrested and charged with Capital Murder.

Keys was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The two other suspects are still awaiting trial in the Collin County Jail.
